DUCK IN A TUB(tions)

PRODUCK (tons for Elon if he promises not to ask me to make a baby with him. The answer is no cause, our baby is already on Earth, Elon… i’ve been trying to tell you for eeeelons already. My baby is not human like you. It’s the duck version of me just for you but it’s mine cause I said so. I own all the ducks even in space cause Earth Water is what the duck wants but on mars in the coolest pool ever. The pool will overlook Earth.

Monnelle Britt

And then I come along…

F**k it, i’ll start my own film studio and only hire artists

Born in the Tampa Bay region of Florida, Monnelle started her “behind the scenes” & artistic career locally & early on. From creating educational videos about the dangerous side effects of pharmaceutical drugs to winning her schools annual Christmas card competition multiple times.

During high school, Monnelle attended Kevin Grass’s Drawing 1 Course, taught at St. Petersburg College, FL and considered it “eye opening”. It sparked an affinity for “Perspective”. To this day, perspective seems to be the best way to describe her work. Her creative spirit permeates through every project she works on, whether it be films, commercials or even live events.

Monnelle’s love for cameras began at a very young age & eventually lead her to be awarded the highest amount for Full Sail’s University’s “Creative Minds” Scholarship. Her winning submission “A Documentary about Ducks” has made it’s way all over the “ducking internet” with even Vice Media’s “Munchies” reaching out & asking for usage rights for their duck delicacy episode exposing Foie Gras. Check out what Vice wrote about Monnelle here: The Duck Legend.

While at Full Sail University, Monnelle leaned towards learning about the technical side of cameras & all the duties included in being in a full size camera department. Full Sail’s hands on learning experience granted Monnelle to learn all about the dedication of a film crew and also what it takes to create a set from ground up. Filmmakers are a different breed, they seem to only care about making great cinematic art just for the love of it, a beautiful soul to meet.

Now in Las Vegas after a 10 year NYC experience, Monnelle has established herself as a unique storyteller through her wide range of work.  She aligns herself with absurd dark comedy and wants to start a new kind of filmmaking (more on that soon). Her films “Affected” and “Dark Desire” have screened at multiple festivals through out the USA, with her more comedic work, Scam Up Comedy, a narrative pilot featuring established NYC comedians is streaming free via youtube and can fit into a horde of other comedic skits, in the NYC comedian scene. Monnelle currently works freelance, with a constant rotating agency list. Her notable clients are Dewars, Macy’s, The Meteor, United Nations- always leading to fun and widely different projects.
